New Meat Science Lab Manager
ABSc would like to welcome Gino Giansante as the new Manger of the meat science laboratory. Gino’s first experience in the meat industry goes back to his days as a student working summer's with his father in a small abattoir. Gino brings over 20 years of experience in the food processing industry, including plant management, operations, people leadership and financial expertise. For the past few years, Gino was a Senior Processing Manager at Maple Lodge Farms, and before that he was a Production Manager and Logistics Manager at Olivieri Foods. Through a variety of education, skills, knowledge and experience, Gino will make a positive contribution to our Meat Lab and to our department.
Brian McDougall, who will be retiring this July, will be sharing his expertise and guidance to Gino and to the Meat Lab staff during the transition.
