The CCSAW Student Chapter will be hosting an animal welfare seminar next week, March 21st !    Dr. Hollie Ross, from the Toronto Zoo will be presenting her talk on "How the Behavioural Husbandry Program Supports Animal Welfare at the Toronto Zoo"    Date and time: Thursday March 21st from 12:30-1:30pm in ANNU 101.   All are welcome to attend!   Thank you   -CCSAW Student Chapter

Students in the Principles of Selection in Animal Breeding class will present journal article reviews during the CGIL Seminar on Friday, March 15th. The seminar will begin at 1:30 pm in room 141 of the Animal Science & Nutrition building.   Week 2 Schedule:   Whole rumen metagenome sequencing allows classifying and predicting feed efficiency and intake levels in cattle. The students of Dr. Angela Cánovas' graduate course: Principles of Selection in Animal Breeding (ANSC*6210), will be presenting short reviews of recent journal articles during the CGIL seminars on March 1st and March 15th. As usual, the CGIL Seminars will be held from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm in ANNU 141. References for the journal articles are provided and members of CGIL and the Department of Animal Biosciences are invited to join the journal club to ask questions and learn about recent advancements in genetic selection research.
